Sabergear™ Quality Packs :: Reviews :: Rider Reviews

Ratto & Hawk

Attached is a photo of my friend Hawk (on the right) and myself, Ratto, (left).
I bought my Saber Gear puch about 1 1/2 years ago at the Phoenix Motorcycle Expo. It works great for my daily commute to and from work. I also carry it while doing my weekend rides. After a few weekend rides with Hawk, he was finally convinced of the benefits of this little bag and got one for himself. Hawk is also a daily rider and is never without his bag also.

The bag is tough, I have two cats and on occasion I have caught them sharpening thier claws on it. After checking it over, it was discovered that not even the cats can mess this thing up. It is built proof in my opinion.

This photo was taken after we had gone on one of our weekend rides. As you can tell, I have the original bag, and he got himself the Mark II bag. These things are great.

Thanks again for making a killer item that no biker should be without.

Cindy, I just wanted to let you that the Thigh Pack II is outstanding and I haven't even used it on my bike yet. It makes life very convenient with my photography work it is a li fesaver. I can carry the essential without running back to my bag to pick up small things. I will highly reccommend it for a variety of uses whenever I can -Thanks again.

This is a product well worth the money.  It is made of extremely heavy duty materials and the zippers are all high quality metal, not plastic which is appreciated.   I especially like the double pull zipper (like many large suitcases) for the larger opening making the operation simple whether you're wearing the Thigh-Pack on the right side or left.

The first time I strapped my Thigh-Pack II on I felt a bit like a gunslinger, very aware of the pack (holster?) on my leg.   It took a couple of miles of riding and a bit of walking around to get past that.  During a nearly 200 mile ride yesterday (3 days after receiving the Thigh-Pack) I forgot it was there.  The Thigh-Pack II is now just a normal piece of gear whether riding or walking.

Problems?   Only one I've found.  At some point you have to decide when to stop putting 'stuff' in your Thigh-Pack.   There seems to be a compartment, hook or loop for anything you could possibly carry.    You might want to leave the six shooter home though.

I am an Administrator for three sites of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program, So I ride almost every day.  I have ordered the Thigh Pack and am awaiting delivery. Can't wait to show it off to the other instructors that work for me. The idea of being able to take a good amount of stuff with me, with out having to take a backpack or tank bag. Can't Wait

It arrived yesterday, thank you so much, Unwrapped it and tried it on, so far so good, I can't wait to try it out.
Thanks again for such great customer service!
Returned from a 2,500 mile motorcycle trip yesterday.
The pack worked well. I enjoyed wearing it more than any other fanny pack I used in the past.
I would like to have a hydro bladder for future use as well. Looked on your web site for pricing and ordering information on one but didn't separate pricing, would it be possible to order one?

I received it today. I'm very impressed. I'll let you know of the response from others. I know I'll really like it.

Neil

I just received my thigh pack and I had to drop you a note about the superb quality and function of this product… it is excellent!

Jeff

My name is Jeff and I have owned my Sabergear Thigh-Pack for approx. four months. I use my Sabergear Thigh-pack on a regular basis when I am riding my motorcycle. It holds everything I need to carry, being in the law enforcement field that can be quite a few items. I have a severe back problem that required four surgeries. The Sabergear thigh-pack evens the stress on my back which means I can ride longer before stopping. The "Hydro" accessory has been a blessing on these hot days in California. The price was right and my preference was the nylon style. I would buy another "thigh-pack" if mine were lost or stolen.

I own two Sabergear Thigh-Packs. I have one set up for daily use which I just throw over my shoulder (by taking off the thigh strap and running it through the top and bottom "D" rings) and one set up for riding. For riding, I carry a wheel lock, registration, brush, small soft towel, a couple of wrenches, pager, knife, hand cleaner, stand cookie, and the hydro water thing if I think I will need it. The only thing to switch from one pack to the next when it is time to ride is my wallet

Joe

I just received my Sabergear Thigh-Pack. It looks like it will certainly be all I was expecting, and more.

Just got back from a 100-mile ride with my new “gizmo” the Thigh-Pack; it worked great – I just can’t believe the amount of stuff it will carry and it caused quite a lot of interest from the other riders. One of the guys is an antenna rigger for a cable company and he is going to order one for when he is working up on masts.”

Hi – I’m the ‘Rocket Bike’ rider you met at the Long Beach show. As promised, I’m letting you know my preliminary opinion of how it works for a sportbike rider.

The bottom line is: it will be coming with me on a lot of my future rides. The convenience of not having to remove my Camelback every time I need to get something is a revelation, and I don’t like using tankbags for day trips, as they can interfere with movement on the bike in the canyons. I’ve already tested it at speeds up to 110 MPH (at a closed course racing facility, naturally) and it didn’t budge. You might have a completely new market segment to hit. My only suggestion would be to make a shorter version for vertically challenged sport riders, because of the crouching position we’re in.
Attached is a shot of me suited up with the pack attached. Thanks for a great product.

Chuck

This looks like an awesome tool to ride with. Should save a lot of fumbling.

Jaime

It’s cool; easy access to what I want.

Limey

Simple but Smart.

Jim

Boy was I surprised. I ordered my thigh pack on Tuesday and received it two days later. It is everything I hoped it would be. Thank you for your expeditious handling of my order and for making a superior product.

Dick

Wow!! I have been searching for this for a long time. I saw something similar or maybe even this at Sturgis and haven’t been able to find them since.

I would be interested in taking these to bike groups and Rallys in the Pacific Northwest as I think a lot of bikers would love them. I have been trying to get to my wallet with my chaps on; this will eliminate that problem.

Roy

V GOOD.

Danyel

I saw you at the Long Beach Show Friday evening and wanted one of your packs. I had hoped to pick one up later, but unfortunately, I got sidetracked. Thanks for being at the show. Send some cards with my order and I’ll hand them out to anyone that asks about the pack.

Mark

What is the club or group rate, and how many to get that rate for the Thigh-Pack? I belong to a HOG group.

Ron

If or when will the leather version be available? What colors does the leather version come in? I want one!

Bill

Please notify me as to when you will have Item #301, the Leather Thigh-Pack available. I will order one ASAP. Is there one long pocket for an item approximately 15” long and approximately 4” wide?

Dan

Your "Thigh-Pack" arrived today; what a great value.  The workmanship and design planning are outstanding. It is comfortable and will hold a surprising amount.

Ed

Thanks for the rapid response and the quality gear. It will definitely come in handy instead of a tank bag on my cruiser and it arrived on the third day after ordering. It's great for keeping everything attached and carries better than any back pack.
